Globe-Law Law Firm (hereinafter referred to as “Globe-Law”) was formerly known as Gao Bo Long Hua Law Firm. Established in 2001, it was renamed Beijing Globe-Law Law Firm in 2010. For over 20 years, Globe-Law has witnessed the profound transformation and development of China’s legal service industry, grown together, and marched toward an international large-scale comprehensive legal service agency. 

Globe-Law’s goal is to build a one-stop, comprehensive and high-quality international legal service agency. At present, Globe-Law has 13 offices and a network of more than 50 seamless global partners. With shared values, we have gathered over 400 leading practitioners who graduated from prestigious schools at home and abroad and have a high reputation in their respective practice areas.

“高文(wén)”, pronounced as “Gao Wen” in Chinese, is a transliteration of Globe-Law. The Chinese name also derives from the deep-rooted Chinese traditional culture. “Gao” comes from the Chinese idiom “gaowujian ling”, which means water sweeping down irresistibly from a commanding height and symbolizes operation from a strategically advantageous position, whereas “Wen” comes from “jingwei tian di yue wen”, which indicates one’s virtue is able to influence heaven and earth. The delicate combination of Chinese and Western brand name implies that Globe-Law will take a global vision, incorporate the best of the world’s excellent legal culture and lawyers’ career, and always walk on the development path of a first-class international law firm.
